Would you consider the possibility of teaching on the scenic central coast of California? Valley Christian Academy is a TK-12 school of approximately 375 students. In our elementary classes we primarily use the Abeka curriculum, while our secondary classes use a mix of Abeka and Bob Jones University Press materials. We currently offer four Advanced Placement classes along with school-wide programs in computers, physical education, and music (including music class, band, and choir).
VCA is a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Santa Maria, and has been educating children for more than 50 years. We are located on a 26-acre campus with excellent facilities and an outstanding staff. Most importantly, the Lord has given us a dynamic spiritual ministry with a solid academic and extracurricular program.
Since California is such a geographically diverse state, people often ask what Santa Maria is like. It is a relatively conservative community with a population of 110,000. We are located in an agricultural valley about twelve miles from the beach and three hours from metropolitan Los Angeles.
