Philosophy
Valley Christian Preschool is a ministry of First Baptist Church of Santa Maria. Valley Christian Preschool seeks to embrace a philosophy of education which is firmly based upon principles derived from God's Word. Our goal spiritually is to help every student develope the moral character which results from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Academically, we seek to teach the children the skills needed as they prepare for kindergarten. Socially, we desire to train young people to be courteous, responsible, and hard-working, doing their best in everything they do.

The mission of Valley Christian Academy and Preschool is to provide a Christ-centered education for preschool through twelfth grade students. We endeavor to accomplish this by seeking to assure that each student has a personal relationship with Christ, educating each student through a superior academic and extra-curricular program, strengthening the family each child represents, and helping each student realize God's purpose in his life as well as his place in God's church.
Staff
The faculty and staff of Valley Christian Preschool are members of First Baptist Church of Santa Maria. All the faculty are well-qualified both spiritually and academically and have been carefully and prayerfully selected.
Snacks and Lunch
For our morning only students, snack is provided at 9:30am, and lunch is provided at 11:30 am. A second, afternoon snack is provided for children who stay for nap at 2:45pm. Morning snack is fruit pared with crackers, or pretzels, etc. Hot lunch includes two different vegetables, milk, a healthy main dish and fruit for dessert. Afternoon snack is usually crackers of some sort.
Curriculum
Valley Christian Preschool uses the ABeka program to prepare the children for kindergarten. We prepare each child as if they were going to continue to our kindergarten, however this would prepare them for any kindergarten program or curriculum. Our two year olds are able to count to 20, can recognize numbers 1 to 5, and can identify basic shapes and colors. Our three year olds can identify secondary colors, can count to 30, can recognize numbers 1 to 15, and demonstrate fairly good pencil control. When our four year olds graduate, they are able to read 3 or 4 letter words, count to 100, and they know the months of the year, the seasons, Bible verses, their numbers, their letters and much more.
Ages: 2 years old through Pre-K
Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:30am- 5:30pm
*We are a year round preschool.
*We open at 6:30 but children must be here by 8:30.
Financial Information
Registration Fee: $160 if you do not attend the parenting class ($80 added to account on October 1). This fee is non-refundable.
Book Fee:
- 2 Year Olds: $40
- 3 Year Olds: $50
- 4 Year Olds: $90
Graduation Fee (4 Year Olds Only): $25 before March 1
*15% discount off the second child's tuition
Tuition
We have full and half-day programs with as little as two days a week or as many as five days a week. Tuition is due the first of the month, and is late on the fifth. A $25 late fee will be charged if you fail to pay your tuition on time.

10:30- Restroom time/singing
10:45- Craft
11:15- Lunch set up, learning cards, story time
11:30- Lunch
12:05- Prepare for nap
12:30- Nap
2:30- Chrilden up from nap and snack
3:00- Free play
5:30- Preschool Closed
